I appreciate many guests will be at this restaurant for lifetime events, and not wanting to labour the point, but alternatively a thoughtful tangible acknowledgment perhaps, such as a signed birthday card or menu from the man himself, wouldnt have gone amiss. Liam is a former chef at two of the UK's most renowned restaurants - Restaurant Sat Bains and Restaurant Andrew Fairlie; who both retain a 2 Michelin Star rating. We also stayed in room 3 which was fabulous and the bed was so comfy!More, Sat Bains offers an all round excellent dining experience, worthy of two Michelin stars. keeping to budget, but ensuring we had beautiful well-matched wines throughout the evening. One of my favourites was at the end of the tasting menu, candy floss with a shiitake mushroom ice cream in the centre! My only slight, hopefully helpful, criticism would be that as four of our party of six were celebrating milestone birthdays, a special touch - such as a small cake for example - to mark the occasion, would have been nice.
